My Snow Guy!

Just finished a fun snow guy cross stitch on burlap for a Christmas gift bag.
I thought this would make a cute little goodie bag for my littlest nephew at Christmas.

The pattern was a freebie from plumpuddingneedleart.com called Fa La La.

Doesn't he have a cute face?

Thanks for coming by and hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Dry Goods Box

I had a go at covering a plain old cardboard box with some stiffened burlap today to make a storage box for this console table.

I just cut the burlap sheet to fit the sides of the box and used my glue gun to stick them on to it, after I'd written DRY GOODS & NOTIONS free hand onto the burlap with a sharpie.

Admittedly a stencil would have been better but all in all I like it tucked in there.

This is the side and on each I kept it simple with 1864.

I'm sure it will be a useful catch-all box!

New Home

My sister-in-law and her husband recently moved into a new home so I finally got around to making them a card.
I had plain white card and used stiffened burlap for the house shape I cut out then glued a wool felt heart onto it.

Above that I stamped New Home onto the tag and added some twine to finish it off.

As a house warming gift, I gave them this candle jar with nice rope handle to light up their new home

so good to hear form you and thanks for coming by for a visit.

Have a great day!
