American Flavored Five

Hello from this AWOL blogger! It's been a busy few weeks with lots happening. As the post title suggests there is a strong American influence in my post this week.  Last week my cousin was visiting us from her home in California. She was born and raised there when my aunt emigrated to the USA in the 1950s.  We have been back and forth several times and she and her husband are the dearest sweetest people, so we had a wonderful time together.  Lots of fun times sharing memories, old photos and lots more good food and sunshine trips.  Unbelievably the weather here in N. Ireland was great!

One four trips involved cycling - hubby taking a photo of my cousin whilst I took their photo!

So in honour of my dear cousin, I have listed these three American pillows on my Etsy.

And fifthly, after much stalling, i finished my daughter's American Rockford Red Sock Monkey doll!
She added the bowtie!
He is cute!

So glad to catch up with you all again!

  1. Your photos bring back memories when we visited my aunt who had married and American and left Germany in 1951 ! We visited her for the first time in 71, I remember the cross stitches in her house.
