Sweet Spring X Stitches

I've been stitching some... here a stitch there a stitch... as we all know the busyness of life can cause hiccups along the way.

Here are some of my spring x stitches.

The one below is my own design based on favorite verses from The Song of Solomon.

The next is a freebie pattern by Ezther of fame.
(I did change up the lettering a bit)

This is a sweet wee pattern that's fairly quick to complete by Shelly Auen of Primitive Stitches and you can find it on

Another freebie pattern from The Primitive Hare in soft spring tones.

And lastly I just wanted to share my own freebie pattern with you,
'Hope Springs Eternal'

Thanks so much for visiting!

Best spring wishes!

Bunny Parade

Hello from a spring like Northern Ireland! So much so I got cracking on some spring decorating around the house and got out the spring bunnies.
First up some wool bunnies~

The one below was hand made in Ohio and so prim - one of my favorites!

My DIY paper mache bunny

 Momma and baby bunny

The one in the basket was one I made today

And below is Basil who's been digging for carrots!

Standing bunny so happy to be out and about this fine day...

Hope you enjoyed your visit and there are signs of spring to enjoy this weekend!

Bright day for a spring walk

Hi folks hope you can join me for a spring walk in the green fields near home. I know many of you are still snowed under and cold but maybe this can help you imagine the brightness and coming warmth of spring. The  sky is so blue and fresh looking and the fields are sprucing up for new lush grass for the dairy herds which will be freed from the barns soon.

The road winds on past a very sweet little old Irish farmstead.
This is a peek through the garden gate - see the snowdrops?

The whitewashed walls and bright red doors and pillar tops are very traditional to this part of Ireland.

This is the wee cottage beside the red roofed shed.

Now I have tried to get a pic of our kind of robin redbreast but they are shy and fly off too quickly.
So here's one from google. they are so tiny but so cute!

Well thanks again for coming along - hope you had fun!

March's Hare

Happy March! The month of mad hares and all things hare-brained.
Thinking of that I made a little jumping hare on a candle stick holder.

I wrapped it in a piece of old cutter quilt and tucked in some sweet Annie.

Slowly but surely the spring decorations are coming out and I hope to do more next week.

March has come in like a lamb with us although there was frost this morning but it was a pleasant day all in  all.
Whatever your weather, I hope you all have a safe weekend.
