Christmas Joy To All My Blogging Friends!

Christmas blessings dear friends!  Thank you all for taking the time to visit at what seems to be the busiest time of the year!  I've been baking, cleaning shopping and gift wrapping just like you all have I'm sure!
I am looking forward to tomorrow though.  My parents are coming for Christmas dinner and I also enjoy our Christmas service tomorrow morning to remember the real reason of this season and thank God for sending His Son to be my Savior.
Here are a few pics of some Christmas decor around the house~ Hope you enjoy!

 And not forgetting the tree!

God bless this Christmas and may you each make room for the Savior and the Light and Life He gives!

Merry Christmas!

The Craft Fair

Hello folks! I think I've just about recovered from the excitement of the craft fair to settle down and post some pictures of my set up.  Thank you all for your good wishes to me - it really helped bolster my confidence.
My son is peaking out from the stall as it was held at his school.
All in all I was pleased with how things went and how interested several people were in my crafts.
The table was on the small side so I felt things were somewhat crammed on .
The cross stitched pillows were popular

It was a learning curve in many ways and I'm glad I took the opportunity to do it.
I found that most folk were looking for smaller items and medium priced crafts which is something to keep in mind.
Now that it's behind me, I'm getting my home decorated for the holidays and hope to share some pictures soon.

Thanks so much for all your support and hope to hear from you!
Best wishes

Wish me well..

Whew! it's been a while and I apologise for not being around much.  I've been concentrating on getting ready for the craft show... which is Tomorrow!!!!
As usual, I'm running around like the proverbial headless chicken trying to finish things at the last minute.

Here are just a couple of things I've just finished. The star above is from a Brenda Gervais design in woolfelt applique.

The tree is burlap with cross stitch snowflakes and says Peace.
I also wanted to show you some crates that I'm going to use to display things. I'm especially grateful that my Dad put them together for me to save me some money and use up some wood that we had just lying around.

It's quite a small craft fair so there won't be space for much and I need to sort out just how to place everything so that it doesn't look crowded but that it looks good too.

Can you tell the nerves are starting to act up????!!!!
So please wish me well! I'll try to remember to take pictures.

So next time I hope to post about how well it went.
Thanks for stopping by!
Best wishes

Yaayyy! Another cross stitch finish! Lots and lots of trees but it finished up lovely.
This a freebie pattern by Eszter of e-subrosa.blogspot.com.and you can find it HERE.
I kept it traditional with green and red. It is stitched on white 32ct linen.

All those trees! I had to do quite a bit of frogging but well worth it!

Here is our part time cat, Mitzi who was enjoying the warm sun yesterday. She was waiting for me and meowing her welcome!

But overnight the weather changed and we even had a dusting of snow and freezing conditions. The snow did melt away by lunch.

I went for a walk in the woods yesterday as it was so nice but only had my phone camera so I snapped a few pics as I enjoyed the autumn day.
The lake with the village church rising like a spike over the trees.

This old tree had fallen years ago and I wanted to see all the names carved into it with my big shadow looming seemed fun and then I looked at it a bit more and was reminded of the burning bush just beyond the fallen tree... God's creation is beautiful!
Thanks everyone for all your comments. You all cheer me on and keep me going so thank you for stopping by.

Hope you all have a great week and stay safe and warm!

Wool Works

Well this week flew by! And as Murphy's law would have it, as soon as I need to prepare for the craft fair, things get really hectic on the home front and it's been a real juggling act even trying to stitch!

But working with wool is soooooo lovely! It is a great fabric to create with and these colors are perfect for Christmas. These are stockings from Primitive Gatherings pattern. I changed them a bit to put tongues and bells on the Santa one.

Below is a wool Christmas tree with some rusty bells.

 A couple of woolie gingers

And here's a quick peek at the cross stitch I'm working on. The colors are so Christmas-y!
A short post but I'm glad you came by for a visit!

Happy weekend, friends!

Christmas is coming... too Soon!!

Hello again at the start of another week!
As you can see I've been working on Christmas.
This is a cute little 6" bear pattern by Brenda Gervais at Country Stitches.
I used a piece of wool for his coat and hat.

And I am so relieved to finish this Santa also by Brenda Gervais. It's one of her older patterns and I had to change it here and there as pieces just didn't fit well together.

I like the embroidery on the front of Santa's coat.

A new snowman. Love his face as he gazes upward

Mind you, I really need to get going. I just received word that I am doing a Christmas Fayre in a few weeks time and I am in a spin! Which prim items do you think would sell well?
So I'm off to work on more Christmas!
Have a great week and stay safe!
Best wishes

Ever Blessed

Hello dear friends and welcome! I'm sorry I've been a poor blogger for a while. The children were off school all last week, so I was kept busy and am only just getting around to finishing this lovely cross stitch.
And how true! Ever Blessed!
So thankful for all of God's blessings through another year!

This is a SAL by Beth Twist and you can find the pattern on her blog, The Twist Family.blogspot.com by clicking here.

I thought that rather than add another pillow to the pile that I'd frame this one and enjoy it on the hall table.

I also wanted to thank Cucki for sharing her lovely finish of the same pattern and inspiring me to try it!
Thank you all for stopping by and I hope you can count your blessings today!
