Cookie Dough Paint

Hello again! I hope and pray this finds you all well and safe, especially my dear blogging friends who are facing the storms.

Although it's been a while since I posted I promise I have not been idle - if anything things just seem to be getting busier.

One of the many projects on my 'to do' list was checked off today and it involved cookie dough - no not the baking, yummy food cookies but yummy paint nonetheless, and it is a cookie dough color.

The hall and stairway in our home was in desperate need of a freshen up and today was the day.

Here's  before and after photos~
The duck egg blue was the color it was before~
Now here it is painted in Cookie dough color~

The after pic in cookie dough

This is a view of the hall way leading down toward the kitchen on the right and the dining room on the left.
The staircase - although no matter how many pics I took the paint looks too pale in these photos. It is much warmer in tone.

This is another before pic
And now here's the finished paint job and my bits and bobs placed out again.

Well that's been my day and I'm pleased that I've got a freshened up entry way and hallway. But oh my there are still a LOT of tasks on that 'to do' list!

Talking of cookie dough.... I'm off to find what's in the cupboard! Shhh don't tell anyone!
Thank you so much for stopping by and sharing in my day, I love hearing from you!
God bless

Be An Encourager

Hello again - it's been a while but blogger and I are not on the best of terms.
I'm not at all keen on using this new interface and it seems to take me twice as long to post.

BUT.... I don't want to moan (too much!!) about blogger as I wanted to post and thank so many sweet friends for their thoughtfulness and kindness.

We all have trials and troubles but I am so glad to know people who encourage and are willing to bear another's burdens and PRAY - you know who you are!  Thank you for your encouragement - being an encourager is a blessed gift and we can really make a difference by just letting someone know you are praying for them.

My dear friend Shazy helped me so much last week - she organized a little stitching day for us two and even prepared this gorgeous new Buttermilk Basin runner for us to stitch as we enjoyed some chat catching up.

I have just finished the tongues - isn't it so lovely? Thank you so much Shazy!

And this is the cutest pumpkin pie pinkeep sha also made for us - so generous hearted!

Another encouragement this weekend was some surprise gifts from....
YES!!! Gifts all the way from Michigan where some family had been on vacation.
They know all too well how much I love Americana ...
and  Country Sampler!  So I've been transported to lovely homes and holiday decor!
I love this small bouquet of Autumn colored flowers given to me by a lady at our church - it was our Harvest Services on Sunday past  - just another token of encouragement to remind me that people care and even small things go a long way to lift another person and give them joy!

So to each and everyone I say a heartfelt 'THANK YOU' and can I encourage you all to think about passing on the blessing of encouraging someone today.
Behind the smile, there could be a despondency or sadness and you can cheer and brighten their day.

God bless and thanks for visiting

Fall Vignettes around my home

Hello friends and welcome!  It's cold and rainy outside but I've been trying to cozy things up inside with some fall decorating and scented candles burning.  So come on in and enjoy the  fall vignettes though I wish I could have found more foliage - it's hard to come by after the wet summer we had.

I thought I had quite a few fall bits and pieces but when I started putting them around the shelves etc I found I didn't have enough but I'm now working on Christmas! So there will be some bare patches!

Well, that's all for now folks!  Thanks for your encouragement and comments.

God bless
