And the winner is...!

Good afternoon, blogging friends!

And yes, we have a winner! But before we get to that I have to thank everyone who took part, I really appreciate it that you visit my blog and comment so THANK YOU EACH AND EVERY ONE!

I asked my oldest daughter to draw the winner from my basket - she said it was definitely high time she got to pick a name as her brother and sister both had done it before her! (All said most indignantly as you can imagine!!!) So to insure domestic bliss and harmony, Caralyn did the honors!!!

And TAH DAH!!!!

The winner is Mary @ Neat & Tidy! Congratulations MARY! You have been such a lovely blogging friend to get to know over the past year and your handiwork is always a treat to see on your blog!

Mary left this sweet comment,

'There are so many things I love about summer, but I guess my favorite would be just being outside and enjoying the heat and fresh air! Happy summer to you. '

I agree wholeheartedly with you, Mary and I'm looking forward to some good weather and fresh air too and just being able to run around outside with the kids!

I also love summer flowers and blooms, tho' I hasten to add that I'm not the best gardener in the world but I love a bit of color in pots and planters.

And after a lovely day, it's great to relax and watch the sun set...

Thank you all again and I hope everyone enjoys the next couple of months and make the most of SUMMER!

Big hugs to you all!

One More Day!!!

Happy summertime! Officially!
Have you entered my Americana stocking giveaway yet? There's still time as it closes tomorrow and I will draw the winner on Thurs morning. Just click on the image/link on my sidebar and it will take you to the giveaway post!

I haven't been stitchin' much - I never seem to be able to find the time to organize anything - it's a busy time of year!

But while I'm here, I thought I'd post a few pics of Americana displays - red white and blue brings a lot of cheer to a room!
I stitched this flag on to Tinkerbell and placed her on my rocking chair.
This is a display shelf with various pieces of Americana I've made the past couple of years. I'm trying to decorate my little kitchen/ family den into an Americana themed room - all depending on DH!

Well that's all friends! I'll be back on Thurs. with the winner's name so until then here's hoping we all get to enjoy summer!

Hi friends, how are you all?

I'm just posting today to let everyone know that my GIVEAWAY is still on for one more week and any followers are welcome to sign up by leaving a comment on the previous post for a chance to win this Americana stocking I made~
Also there are some new items listed today on my selling blog, The Primitive Shelf. Here are some of them~I also have to wish my mother birthday HAPPY BIRTHDAY today. My mum is 70 today though you wouldn't think it. She is the best mother and I know first hand how precious it is to have a godly mother praying for you everyday and giving wise council and encouragement. Thank you, Mum, I love you!
On Sat night past we all went to a surprise dinner for her at a lovely restaurant. It was a great evening and Mum really enjoyed it - even the embarrassing but obligatory singing of Happy Birthday when the cake was brought out!
My littlest daughter thought it was so much fun though as you can see!
Thanks for visiting and don't forget to scroll down to the post below to sign up for my giveaway!
Have a wonderful week!

Hello dear blogging friends and welcome!

Apologies for being a 'bad' blogger of late - it's just been one thing after another, nothing terrible I'm glad to say, just lots of time needed elsewhere etc, etc!

But as many of you know, I LOVE Americana and when I saw this freebie pattern on Tennessee Ridge Primitives website I just had to make it - or one very similar!!
I hope you all like it as I'm going to give it away to one of you in a couple of weeks!

It is approx. 22" long inc. hanger and contains a crow, a flag (not handmade) and a painted star.
On the stocking I sewed on the letters USA and trailed a rusty wire and star garland down it. There is also a little rusty star on the toe and some pip berry in the top of the stocking.

The rules are very straightforward~

1. You must be a follower and this will include any new followers who want to be included.

2. Leave a comment on this post only and tell me what you love most about summer!

3. Drawing will be on Wed. June 22.

That's it!

I look forward to hearing from you and hope you all have a great week!

Best wishes
